A picturesque lake like Clinton Reservoir near Hanks Pond is a great site to go to; camping at Camp Nyoda is always a great experience. This lake is so wonderful. Mountain Creek- Appalachian is a great place to get some rest, and Delaware National Scenic River is a wonderful local destination. You can run the rapids of Pequannock River next to Hanks Pond, and since       you're here you can play some golf at Green Pond Golf Club. Throughout the summertime, highs regularly are in the 80's at Hanks Pond. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Hanks Pond are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. A great location for whitewater paddling next to Hanks Pond is Rockaway River, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Hidden Valley                  is reasonably near. So much entertaining stuff to do at Hanks Pond, so little time. After a long day outdoors Mineral Resorts And Spa is a magnificent location to spend a night or two, and Mountain Creek is a wonderful local ski area. Hanks Pond sees pretty high levels of rain; most of the rain falls throughout July; the driest month is February. Just can't get enough of Hanks Pond. A quick tour to Clinton Brook close to Hanks Pond is a great idea; Hanks Pond is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Camp Ocawasin Lodge is a magnificent local campground.
