After a long day outdoors Appalachian Motel is a magnificent place to spend a night or two, and don't miss out on a tour to Delaware National Scenic River while you're here. This is no place for people who don’t like to have a good time. If you came to camp Motor Sports Marina and Campground is a splendid location to do that; Mountain Creek is a pleasant local ski area. This lake is so wonderful.       Some of the water nearby flows, like Clinton Brook, and Green Pond Golf Club is a golf course close by. Hanks Pond sees pretty high levels of rain; during the month of July you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is February. You don’t have to go far from Hanks Pond to see the water at Hanks Pond Dam, and the skiing at Hidden Valley is magnificent. There's so much to do here at Hanks Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Sun Air Lakeside                  Camp is a good place for that; Union Valley is also a splendid place to discover. This lake is so wonderful. Nearby lakes? Sure, Buckabear Pond is near Hanks Pond, and nearby you locate the Cannonball Trail which is a good hiking trail. Dry warm beds await you at Roserne Motor Lodge, and if you come at the right time of year, Rockaway River offers some perfect whitewater. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Pequannock River. For the period of the summer months at Hanks Pond highs are usually in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows sink down to the 50's.
