Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining stuff right next door to Haledon Reservoir. The sights at Gateway National Recreation Area will blow your mind. Camping at Haledon Reservoir is pleasant fun, Motor Sports Marina and Campground is a pleasant local campground; Haledon Reservoir is right by the Cannonball Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Rainbow Motel is a great site to get some rest, and you can       have a wonderful hiking adventure along the Pine Meadow Trail. Why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Packanack Golf Club, and do take a hike on the Kakiat Trail. You believe that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Whitewater paddling is magnificent on Ramapo River, and why not head up to Mt. Peter and strap some skis to your feet. Throughout the summer months highs here at Haledon Reservoir get into the 80's. All through the moonlight hours                  it's ordinarily in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Haledon Reservoir. Paddling on Pequannock River is so much fun, and the top of Mount Cecchino is easily made out from Haledon Reservoir. Haledon Reservoir is a wet site that gets lots of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is May, and February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Camp wabenaki is a splendid campground here, and why not have a look at Haledon Reservoir Dam since you're here. Sterling Forest is a very popular ski area nearby; Franklin Lake is a nearby lake that you could check out.
