Visiting Gateway National Recreation Area is just something you need to do if you haven't yet, and on a lovely day you acquire a great sight of Mount Cecchino from Haledon Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Sterling Forest has nice slopes and a friendly staff; there's some exciting stuff to distinguish at Haledon Reservoir Dam in the neighborhood of Haledon Reservoir. | | most rain around here, and the driest of the months is February. Stay the night at Baker Camp On Lake Sebago; if you come at the right time of year, Ramapo River offers some delightful whitewater. After a long day outdoors La Quinta Inn and Suites Wayne is a glorious place to spend a night or two, and going for a hike on the Kakiat Trail is always a great adventure. That right there is a load already, but it keeps on going; Haledon Reservoir has it all. | |

Squaw Brook is a good site to stop at; there are some great whitewater spots on Pequannock River. There are perfect locations to explore along the Pine Meadow Trail; Residence Inn Wayne is a good place to get some rest. Mt. Peter
is a very popular ski area around here; you'll come across a picturesque lake called Lotz Pond. And that's not all you can do here at Haledon Reservoir. Rein Teen Tours is a great campground nearby; close by you stumble on the Cannonball
Trail which is a fine hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. For you golfers we recommend close by Packanack Golf Club, and lakes are such serene places, why not pop by Franklin Lake. Throughout the days of summer at Haledon
Reservoir temperatures are regularly in the 80's while overnight lows are regularly in the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime highs are ordinarily in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Haledon Reservoir temperatures sink to the 10's.
