     The cheerful people of New York-Newark-Edison like to hang out close by; you can always enjoy a lazy day on the beach at Hazard Beach. This lake is so wonderful. If you're here at Hackensack Reservoir Number One, do take a trip to Castle Point; if you came to camp Liberty Harbor RV Park is a great place to do that. This lake is so wonderful. All our national parks are splendid sites to explore, and Gateway National Recreation Area is no exception, and delightful  
   skiing awaits you at Sterling Forest.
If you need a location to stay Sheraton Lincoln Harbor Hotel is a pleasant choice, and possibly you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Reservoir Number Three is just a very short distance away. Looking for some flowing water? Try Paunpeck Creek, and Hackensack Reservoir Number One is good enough to spend more than a day at, Camp Wildwood is a good local campground. The high level of rain makes Hackensack Reservoir
 
               Number One a reasonably wet place; most of the rain falls throughout May, and the driest month is February.
What a place this is for outdoors people. After a long day outdoors Park Avenue Hotel is a magnificent spot to spend a night or two, and Kings Bluff is picturesque and can be observed from here. At Hackensack Reservoir Number One all through the summer months highs are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 60's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Hackensack Reservoir Number One are in the 10's. You're perhaps into lakes, Reservoir Number Two is one of those nearby, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because N Y C Golf Club is in close proximity.

KISSENA LAKE IS ONE BEAUTIFUL BODY OF WATER!! AND TO THINK, ITS IN NYC IN QUEENS COUNTY. THE SURROUNDING PARK IS GREAT ALSO!! SO MUCH TO DO HERE. THE LAKE IS PRETTY COOL, HAS LARGEMOUTH BASS, SUNFISH. ALTHOUGH THE FISH DONT BITE ALL DAY, THEY EAT AT DIFFERENT TIMES MAKING IT PERFECT TO TRY TO GET YOUNGSTERS HOOKED ON FISHING. There is a lake right behind Burger king on union blvd in Haskell... good fishing for bass, but lots of weeds. Rainbow lake on dotty rd in Haskell is a good family lake... bass, crappie, sunny, perch, trout... They stock  the lake. Good luck!!!...Looking for the closest lake to us.
