New Jersey has many beautiful lakes and Gropp Lake is one of them. Stay the night at Laurel Pond Resort, and Gropp Lake is not far at all from Trenton-Ewing. There's so much to do here at Gropp Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Bucks County Country Day Schl is a brilliant location for that. Gropp Lake gets a lot of water; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture.

| | the summertime, highs frequently are in the 80's at Gropp Lake. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Gropp Lake dipping down into the 20's through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. There's some flowing water close by, Back Creek is a stream you can explore while here, and do pay a visit to New Jersey Pinelands National Reserve while you're here at Gropp Lake. | |

Comfort Inn Bordentown is a nice site to get some rest, and Spring Lake is a nearby lake that you could take a look at.
This place, Gropp Lake, it simply has so much outdoors amusing stuff. A nice close by hotel is Econo Lodge
Bordentown, and Gropp Lake Dam is a location that is close to Gropp Lake. Delaware River has a great whitewater paddling spot close by, and do have a look at Rowan Lake, it's a beautiful lake.

Yes, There is a small beach on Mirror Lake. I got there every once in a while since I actually live near there. But I wouldn't recommend fishing there. There is so much pollution in the area where fish breed. The only fish you would likely see is dead fish. Also, it is fun to go out on a small boat like a conoe and look around the lake. There is a small island where if you are lucky, some of the mother geese would allow you to feed them and their young....Can dogs go swimming in mirror lake?...CAN WE SWIM IN MIRROR LAKE? Is is shallow?... |

Prospertown lake has great pikerel and bass fishing....Prosper Town lake is the greatest. It is located near 6 flags. My brother caught a 15 inch largemouth bass and a 13 inch smallmouth bass before there. And I've caught a lot of pickerel. We used shiners,,, about 3-4 inches big.... |

The lake was a popular day vacation spot for people from South Jersey and Philadlephia...from the 50's through 70's!!! There was a lake, swimming pool, concession stand, mini golf, picnic area etc. From what was said before it was sold, they were being forced to sell because of rising insurance rates from of frivolous lawsuits. It sat decaying for years - outside there's a really cool retro style gate right out of the 50's & the sign says Holiday Lake. Beyond it lies a dried out swimming pool full of dirt & grass growing out of it. Dilapidated buildings that were once changing rooms surround the lake. You used to be able to rent bathing suits. There's an old decaying minature golf course and abandoned playground. The entire scene is creepy. Property was bought by a church.... |
