Griffith Pond is a lake worth visiting. Stony Brook is a stream that you may stumble upon while here, and the scenery at Griffith Pond Dam is wonderful. Hidden Valley is a very popular ski area close by; a good spot for whitewater paddling is Rockaway River. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site.

all through the summer months highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are typically in the 30's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Griffith
Pond temperatures drop to the 10's. Griffith Pond gets lots of water; August is the month that gets the most rain; February is when it's the driest.
