There are fine sites to look at along the Cannonball Trail; Greenwood Pond is not the only location nearby, Dunker Pond is a nearby lake. If you come at the right time of year, Rockaway       River offers some fine whitewater, and if you came to camp Sun Air Lakeside Camp is a brilliant site to do that. The high level of rain makes Greenwood Pond a reasonably wet place; throughout August this area sees the most rain; February is when it's the driest. At Greenwood Pond through the months of summer highs are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's.
