There is a magnificent hiking trail near Green Turtle Lake called the Cannonball Trail, and there are other locations here than Green Turtle Lake, for example Lazy Acres Pond. Yep, outdoors entertaining stuff to do are in fact abundant here at Green Turtle Lake. At Green Turtle Lake during the warm days of summer highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs       in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Green Turtle Lake temperatures sink to the 10's. So much amusing stuff right next door to Green Turtle Lake, simply mind-blowing. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can pop by Greenwood Lake Dam, and Green Turtle Lake is a good location to visit for more than one day, Motor Sports Marina and Campground is a good location to camp nearby. Lots of rainfall falls at Green Turtle Lake; of all                  the months in a year July is the one with the most rain; the driest of the months is February. Beech Brook is a pleasant local stream, and a tremendous place for whitewater paddling is Ramapo River. Stay the night at Camp Ocawasin Lodge, and going for a hike on the Pine Meadow Trail is always a good adventure. Regency House Hotel & Suites is a brilliant place to get some rest, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Sterling Forest is relatively near. A day on the slopes of Mt. Peter is just what you need, and after a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites CHESTER-MONROE-GOSHEN is a great site to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Near Green Turtle Lake you hit upon the Kakiat Trail which is a delightful hiking trail, and if you're looking for a fine tour, Gateway National Recreation Area is pretty near. This lake is so wonderful.
