It's always fun to stop by Green Pond. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Green Pond, you could also have a look at gorgeous Egbert Lake; there are some good whitewater spots on Pequannock River. For the period of the warm days of summer, highs regularly are in the 80's at Green Pond. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are regularly in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Green Pond temperatures

So much entertaining stuff to do here at Green Pond, too splendid to be true. An afternoon playing golf at Green Pond Golf Club is always a delight, and if you come at the right time of year, Rockaway River offers some good whitewater. Camping at Camp Nyoda is always a magnificent experience, and Copperas Mountain can be made out from Green Pond. This lake is so wonderful. and after a long day outdoors Hampton Inn Rockaway-I 80 (Parsippany Area) is a fine spot to spend a night or two.
A day on the slopes of Hidden Valley is just what you need; the Cannonball Trail offers hiking at its best. Lots
of rain falls at Green Pond; August is the month that gets the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. A great spot to camp here at Green Pond is Sun Air Lakeside Camp, and at Cozy Lake Dam close to Green Pond there
are some out of the ordinary things to see.
A good close by hotel is Best Western The Inn At Rockaway, and why not head up to Mountain Creek and strap some skis to your feet.
