This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Sun Air Lakeside Camp, and a fine place to camp here at Green Pond is Camp Nyoda. A delightful close by hotel is Hampton Inn Rockaway-I 80 (Parsippany Area), and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at close by Mountain Creek. This lake is so wonderful. For you golfers we recommend close by Green Pond Golf Club, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for       you then, we recommend Pequannock River. For the period of the long summer days highs here at Green Pond get into the 80's. Summer night lows fall down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's while the cold winter nights at Green Pond are in the 10's. Green Pond is a wet site that gets a lot of precipitation; August is the wettest month with most rain, and February is when it's the driest. Lakes are great; Egbert Lake is a lake that's right                  next door to Green Pond, and if you come at the right time of year, Rockaway River offers some great whitewater. On a great day at Green Pond you can take a hike along the Cannonball Trail, and Cozy Lake Dam is a beautiful place, certainly worth a visit. Hit the slopes at Hidden Valley close by; if you need a location to stay Best Western The Inn At Rockaway is a pleasant choice. Whohoo, so much amusing stuff in one place! Green Pond rules!
