The Cannonball Trail offers hiking at its best, and let's not forget Molly Ann Brook which is a stream that you may bump into while here. Great Notch Reservoir sees pretty high levels of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is commonly May, that's the one that rains the most, and February meanwhile is the driest month. Great Notch Reservoir is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Rein Teen Tours is a nice local campground;                  you're almost certainly hooked on lakes, Butchers Pond is one of those close by. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are splendid; New Street Reservoir is a lake that's right next door to Great Notch Reservoir, and if you have time to spare, Gateway National Recreation Area is a national park worth going to. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Mt. Peter since you're here, and float down the rapids of Rockaway River in a kayak. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Great Notch Reservoir; the nighttime is fairly colder of course, ordinarily in the 50's. Through the winter highs are frequently in the 30's, and overnight lows at Great Notch Reservoir during the wintertime generally descend into the 10's. And that's not all you can do here at Great Notch Reservoir. A great place to camp here at Great Notch Reservoir is Camp Horizons, and an afternoon playing golf at Packanack Golf Club is always a diversion.
