You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Mt. Peter since you're here; you don’t have to go far from Gordon Lakes to spot the water at Gordon Lakes Dam. Very beautiful scenery and good skiing is what you get at Hidden Valley, and playing golf is lots of fun at Sunset Valley Golf Course. | | is a wonderful site to spend a night or two. Matthews Brook flows through this neighborhood, and Matthews Lake is a nearby lake that you could have a look at. You can catch a sight of Torne Mountain from Gordon Lakes. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Gordon Lakes that you need to camp here for a while, Camp Ocawasin Lodge is a good place for that, and if the weather is glorious, you can go for a hike along the Pine Meadow Trail. Lakes in fact is in the middle of a wonderful outdoors paradise. Going for a hike along the Kakiat Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and a great place for whitewater paddling is Pequannock River. If
you came to camp Motor Sports Marina and Campground is a perfect place to do that, and dry warm beds await you at La Quinta Inn and Suites Wayne. This lake is so wonderful. If you get bored of Gordon Lakes, you could also stop at
nearby Shady Lake, and hiking along the Cannonball Trail is wonderful fun. What a site this is for outdoors folks. Rockaway River is a glorious whitewater spot next to Gordon Lakes, and Norvin Green State Forest is a good local forest.
For the duration of the long summer days, highs commonly are in the 80's at Gordon Lakes while nighttime lows are regularly in the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 30's; nighttime lows through the winter for Gordon Lakes tend
to be in the 10's. Gordon Lakes regularly gets a good deal of precipitation; through the month of July you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is February.
