If you like lakes and you're in this part of New Jersey you can check out Gordon Lakes. Gordon Lakes is a pretty wet place usually with a lot of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is July, and the driest month is February. Why not camp at Sun Air Lakeside Camp since you're here at Gordon Lakes, and a great place for whitewater paddling is Rockaway River. If you haven’t been to Gateway National Recreation Area, you ought to schedule some time for it

This is no location for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Some close by water includes Matthews Brook, and Sunset Valley Golf Course is a delightful golf course close by. If you need a location to stay Wellesley Inn Wayne is a pleasant choice; good water scenery is available at Gordon Lakes Dam next to Gordon Lakes.

Gordon Lakes without first going for a hike along the Cannonball Trail, and Hidden Valley is a delightful local ski area. The slopes of Mt. Peter are so inviting noone can resist; a good place to camp here at Gordon Lakes is Motor
Sports Marina and Campground. Dry warm beds await you at Regency House Hotel & Suites, and there's a perfect forest called Norvin Green State Forest.
Through the days of summer highs here at Gordon Lakes get into the 80's. All
through the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 50's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Gordon Lakes are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids
of Pequannock River in close proximity to Gordon Lakes; great hiking is available along the Kakiat Trail. If you adore the outdoors, you'll like Gordon Lakes. There's magnificent hiking along the Pine Meadow Trail; at Gordon Lakes you can distinguish Torne Mountain.
