A nice close by hotel is Ramada Inn Toms River/Lakewood; a glorious spot to camp here at Gliddon Lake is Maple Lake Camp Grounds. Gliddon Lake is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Butterfly Campground is a nice local campground, and playing golf is lots of fun at Pine Barrens Golf Club. That right there is heaps already, but it continues; Gliddon Lake has it all. After a long day outdoors Econo Lodge Lakewood       is a great spot to spend a night or two. You'll stumble on a picturesque lake called Bunker Hill Pond near Gliddon Lake, and hey, Gaskin Branch is a nice local stream. At Gliddon Lake during the warm months highs are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 60's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 30's with temperatures at Gliddon Lake dipping down into the 20's through winter nights. The high level of rain                  makes Gliddon Lake a pretty wet location; July is the wettest month with most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful.
