This place is excellent, just explore all the fun things to do in close proximity to Garrison Pond. Head up to Sterling Forest and strap some skis to your feet; going for a hike along the Conklins Crossing will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. This lake is so wonderful. Pond. All the water falling down from the sky makes Garrison Pond a wet location; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is February.
A great location for whitewater paddling in the
neighborhood of Garrison Pond is Popolopen Creek. There's so much to do here at Garrison Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Kaufmann Henry Campgrounds is a good spot for that. You can run the rapids of Ramapo River in the
vicinity of Garrison Pond; if you're here you can take a hike along the Kakiat Trail. If you came to camp Camp wabenaki is a splendid place to do that, and on a nice day you can take a hike along the Sherwood Path.
This lake is
so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Howard Johnson Inn is a nice choice, and of course Pleasant Brook flows through this area.
