Pompton Plains is a wonderful location to check out. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by nearby Lake Inez, and the slopes of Mt. Peter are so       inviting nobody can resist. Best Western Regency House Hotel is a pleasant spot to get some rest, and everyone nearby loves skiing at Sterling Forest. Looking for a great spree? Gateway National Recreation Area is relatively near Garden Pond, and there's some exciting stuff to observe at Lake Inez Dam close to Garden Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Near Garden Pond you locate a golf course called Sunset Valley Golf Course, and going for a hike on the Cannonball                  Trail is always a fine adventure. This is no spot for people who don’t like to have a good time. Dry warm beds await you at La Quinta Inn and Suites Wayne, and get covered with water paddling on Pequannock River. If you have a thing about the outdoors, you'll like Garden Pond. Lakes are great; Spring Pond is a lake that's in close proximity to Garden Pond; you can go for a hike on the Kakiat Trail. For the period of the long summer days here at Garden Pond, high temperatures regularly reach the 80's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Garden Pond. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Garden Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Camp Ocawasin Lodge is a brilliant site for that, and the peak of Federal Hill can be spotted from Garden Pond.
