French Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. All through the warm days of summer highs here at French Lake get into the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. During the wintertime highs are frequently in the 30's; overnight lows in the 10's for French Lake. A visit to Delaware National Scenic River is recommended; in the event that you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Hornbeck's

Some nearby water includes Bear Brook, and there's tremendous hiking along the Flat Ridge Trail. Why not camp at Rabbit Patch Camp Ground while you're here at French Lake. French Lake gets lots of water; May is the month that gets
the most rain, and the driest of the months is February.
The Bald Barren Trail offers hiking at its best, and a short trip to Federal Springs is always worthwhile.
