The beauty of Franklin Lake is reason enough to stop by. This lake is so wonderful. A nice nearby hotel is La Quinta Inn West Long Branch; Old Orchard Country Club is a golf course close by. Why not go to Blackberry Bay also since you're here, and Koala-T-Kids is a good local campground. Franklin Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; throughout July this area sees the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. All through the months of summer

| | at Franklin Lake highs are mostly in the 80's; the overnight is rather colder of course, mostly in the 60's. During the winter the highs are frequently in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Franklin Lake. and if you want to hit the beach, Navesink Beach is close by. On a good day it's a magnificent idea to spend the day at Highlands Beach; not far from Franklin Lake you'll find Deal Lake which is a beautiful lake. This lake is
so wonderful. Gateway National Recreation Area is a very splendid site to visit close to Franklin Lake, and after a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites WEST LONG BRANCH is a nice place to spend a night or two.

 | 16 miles away I live on this lake, I'm 14 and every summer I have the most wonderful time on floating docks with my friends and waking up and kayaking with my little sister....I remember swiming here when I was young. A big different from the creek under the parkway bridge....I remember back in the 50's I would go past the lake and see kid's swing from a tree on a rope, and then let go and dive in the water. I was so jealous, but I had Cliffwood.... |
