All through the warm days of summer, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at Francis Lake with overnight lows in the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are usually in the 30's with temperatures at Francis Lake dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. Don't leave Francis Lake without first going for a hike along the Flat Ridge Trail; Comfort Inn Hackettstown is a glorious spot to get some rest. If you fancy the outdoors,       you'll have a thing about Francis Lake. If you need a place to stay Inn at Panther Valley is a nice choice, and get your heart pumping on the tremendous whitewater of Paulins Kill River. The high level of rainfall makes Francis Lake a reasonably wet place; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain; February on the other hand is the driest. If you came to camp Windy Acres Campground is a pleasant spot to do that, and if you're a golfer then a wonderful                  close by course is Bear Brook Golf Club. This lake is so wonderful. On a pretty day you acquire a view of High Rocks from Francis Lake, and the snow is tremendous at Shawnee Mountain. This lake is so wonderful. You could also check out Mud Pond since you're here at Francis Lake; it's close by, and magnificent hiking is available along the Bald Barren Trail. There's so much to do here at Francis Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Green Valley Beach Campgrounds is a great spot for that, and Delaware National Scenic River is a good place close by.
