There's always Furnace Road Dam to stop at close to Fountain Spring Lake, and splendid hiking is available along the Cannonball Trail. A day on the slopes of Sterling Forest is just what you need; if you came to camp Baker Camp On Lake Sebago is a fine spot to do that.
