Brookwood Swim and Tennis Club is a good campground nearby, and if you're here, you could also visit pretty Bee Meadow Pond. Eastmans Brook is in close proximity to Forge Pond and is always a bliss to visit, and Boonton Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could check out. There are some magnificent whitewater spots on Rockaway River, and everyone nearby loves skiing at Mountain       Creek. All the water falling down from the sky makes Forge Pond a wet site; through the month of August you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is February. You believe that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. Hidden Valley is a good local ski area; in close proximity to Forge Pond you discover a golf course called Rockaway River Country Club. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Sierra Suites Parsippany is a fine                  choice; if you like swamps you're in luck, Troy Meadows is right nearby. Summer at Forge Pond comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and the overnight is a bit chillier of course, ordinarily in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Forge Pond temperatures sink to the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. A good close by hotel is Sheraton Parsippany Hotel, and Forge Pond is a nice site to visit for more than one day, Camp Horizons is a nice site to camp nearby.
