The scenery at Siebert Pond Dam in the neighborhood of Egbert Lake is beautiful; in the event that you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Pequannock River. During the long summer days here at Egbert Lake, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 80's with overnight lows in the 50's. During the wintertime highs are typically in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Egbert       Lake. The summit of Cobb Hill can be made out from Egbert Lake, and Rockaway River is a glorious whitewater spot nearby. So much exciting stuff to do at Egbert Lake, so little time. This is a good region for people who like lakes. Green Pond is a lake in close proximity. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Egbert Lake has to offer, you can camp at Sun Air Lakeside Camp. All the water falling down from the sky makes Egbert Lake a wet site; all                  through August this area sees the most rain while February is ordinarily the driest month. Good hiking is available along the Cannonball Trail, and you can stay the night at Camp Nyoda. This lake is so wonderful. You can never get enough of the nice skiing at Hidden Valley, and dry warm beds await you at Hampton Inn Rockaway-I 80 (Parsippany Area). Nearby lakes? Sure, Lake Emma is next to Egbert Lake, and skiing at Mountain Creek is one of those things you just must do. This lake is so wonderful.
