There's whitewater on Paulins Kill River for all you adrenaline kick people, and the peak of Mount Paul can be seen from Edison Pond. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Sun Air Lakeside Camp is a tremendous location to camp, and you can run the rapids of Clove Brook. This lake is so wonderful. Edison Pond is not the only site close by, Lake Acquackanonk       is a close by lake; Camp Nyoda is a splendid campground nearby. Why not go to a swamp like Pine Swamp while you're here at Edison Pond; if you need a place to stay Mountain Creek Resort is a pleasant choice. Just can't get enough of Edison Pond. What would winter be without some skiing at Mountain Creek; a great close by hotel is Vernon/Mcafee Days Inn. The high level of rainfall makes Edison Pond a quite wet place; during the month of August you get the                  most rain around here, and the driest of the months is February. Sparta Lake Dam has good water scenery and it's in the neighborhood of Edison Pond; a round of golf at nearby Black Bear Golf Club is a tremendous way to kill some time. You could also stop at Sparta Lake while you're here at Edison Pond; it's close by; you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Hidden Valley since you're here. During the days of summer, highs frequently are in the 80's at Edison Pond while night lows are usually in the 50's.
