The beauty of Dunker Pond is reason enough to stop by. Delaware National Scenic River is a wonderful national park, and why not go to close by Dunker Brook if you're here at Dunker Pond. If you came for an overnight stay Tall Timbers Campground is a tremendous spot to camp; float down the rapids of Rockaway River in a kayak.

If you want a wonderful time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Dunker Pond. A glorious nearby hotel is Appalachian Motel, and Cannistear Reservoir Dam Number One is pretty.

Pond sees pretty high levels of precipitation; all through the month of July you get the most rain around here, and February is when it's the driest. A lovely lake like Canistear Reservoir next to Dunker Pond is a fine location to
stop by, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Mountain Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Cannonball Trail is always a pleasant adventure; Hidden Valley is a very popular ski area
nearby.
