For the duration of the summertime at Drakes Pond highs are regularly in the 80's; throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Get your heart pumping on the good whitewater of Paulins Kill River, and Hidden Valley has splendid slopes and a friendly staff. This lake is so wonderful. A perfect nearby hotel is Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Newton Sparta, and good skiing awaits you at Mountain Creek. Very great water scenery is available at Stickle Pond Dam in the vicinity of Drakes Pond, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always take                  a look at nearby Stickle Pond. Drakes Pond is a quite wet place usually with a great deal of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is August, and the driest of the months is February. If you want a glorious time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Drakes Pond. You can run the rapids of Hornbeck's Creek next to Drakes Pond, and hiking along the Lost Cabin Trail is good fun. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Drakes Pond has to offer, you can camp at Windy Acres Campground; playing golf is lots of fun at Lake Lackawanna Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Drakes Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Green Valley Beach Campgrounds is a brilliant spot for that. Lakes?
