You can never get enough of the nice skiing at Shawnee Mountain; camping is available at Delaware River Family Campground. You'll come across a scenic lake called Columbia Lake near Delaware Lake, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Delaware Lake; Bald Barren Trail is a great local trail. Delaware Lake is a wet location that gets a good deal of precipitation; the wettest       month of the year is mostly May, that's the one that rains the most, and February is the month with the least moisture. Delaware Lake is right by the Smith Trail, and after a long day outdoors Walnut Valley Inn is a good location to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Really brilliant skiing awaits you at Alpine Mountain, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Flat Ridge Trail. If you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater                  paddling on Martins Creek, and if you came for an overnight stay Shady Acres Campgrounds is a magnificent place to camp. Delaware Lake in fact is in the middle of a beautiful outdoors paradise. Delaware Lake is in close proximity to Delaware Lake Dam which is a stunning site certainly worth checking out, and a glorious place for whitewater paddling is Pequest River. Summertime at Delaware Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Delaware Lake temperatures plunge to the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. If you haven’t been to Delaware National Scenic River, you should schedule some time for it while you're here, and Hunters Lodge is a nice place to get some rest. Delawanna Creek is in the neighborhood of Delaware Lake and is always a delight to go to, and lots of folks from East Stroudsburg come here.   Columbia-Days Inn, Columbia 3 miles away The Days Inn is located just South of Delaware Water Gap and a few minutes away from the Pocano Mountain Area.
