There are other locations here than Deer Pond, for example Griffith Pond, and dry warm beds await you at Embassy Suites Hotel. If you came to camp Brookwood Swim and Tennis Club is a wonderful place to do that, and hey, Gotta ski right? Mountain Creek is a magnificent place to do that. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Deer Pond you can play some golf at Rockaway River Country Club, and the views at Gateway National       Recreation Area will blow your mind. Through the summer months, highs typically are in the 80's at Deer Pond. Summer nighttime lows drop down to the 50's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Deer Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Deer Pond is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Sun Air Lakeside Camp is a pleasant local campground, and everyone nearby loves skiing at Hidden Valley.                  There are some great whitewater spots on Pequannock River, and at Deer Pond you can see Pyramid Mountain. All the water falling down from the sky makes Deer Pond a wet place; August is when you get the most rain here; February is when it's the driest. Deer Pond Dam is a lovely location in the neighborhood of Deer Pond; Powerville Inn is a good site to get some rest. You assume that's enough? Just getting warmed up.
