The beauty of Deal Lake attracts many people from all around. There's some interesting stuff to distinguish at Deal Dam in the vicinity of Deal Lake, and getting to Harvey Brook from Deal Lake is trouble-free. Gateway National Recreation Area is a tremendous place near Deal Lake, and if you came for an overnight stay Atlantic Club Camp is a brilliant location to camp. The high level of rain makes Deal Lake a rather wet site; August is the wettest month with most rain; February is the month with the least moisture. A big different from the creek under the parkway bridge....I remember back in the 50's I would go past the lake and see kid's swing from a tree on a rope, and then let go and dive in the water.
