A large amount of rainfall falls at Dalrymple Pond; August is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is February. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Dalrymple Pond, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's with temperatures at Dalrymple Pond dipping down into the 10's through winter       nights. If you came for an overnight stay Hi-Hills Camp is a magnificent site to camp; Dover Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could visit. This lake is so wonderful. Float down the rapids of India Brook in a kayak, and Hidden Valley is a great local ski area. The skiing at Mountain Creek is glorious; Randall Hill is clearly visible from Dalrymple Pond. A delightful nearby hotel is Courtyard By Marriott Mount Arlington; why not camp at Fla Net Park                  Campgrounds since you're here at Dalrymple Pond. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Hilton Garden Inn Rockaway is a great choice, and if you come at the right time of year, Raritan River - North Branch offers some good whitewater. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. If you're a golfer then a splendid nearby course is Picatinny Golf Club, and if you get bored of Dalrymple Pond you could also pop by close by Lake Cherokee.
