Cooks Pond is always a pleasure to visit. Don't leave Cooks Pond without first going for a hike along the Cannonball Trail. Yeah, come here to Cooks Pond for a fine time. Near Cooks Pond you hit upon a golf course called Rockaway River Country Club. This lake is so wonderful. Hibernia Brook is one of the streams close by that might be worth visiting, and the view of Bald Hill is picturesque. Cooks Pond Dam is delightful and it's right next door to Cooks Pond. Get drenched paddling on Rockaway River; a fine nearby hotel is Courtyard By Marriott Parsippany. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Pequannock River; if you like
skiing, you're in luck; Hidden Valley is rather near. High temperatures at Cooks Pond all through the warm months are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's,
and overnight lows at Cooks Pond through the winter mostly fall into the 10's.
All the water falling down from the sky makes Cooks Pond a wet location; all through August this area sees the most rain while February is typically the driest month.
