Cooks Pond is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Spring Lake Brook is a magnificent local stream, and the Cannonball Trail is a nice hiking trail close by. Cooks Pond is a reasonably wet place typically with a good deal of rain; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is February. Really wonderful skiing awaits you at Sterling Forest, and get dripping wet paddling on Pequannock River.

| | There's so much to do here at Cooks Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Robert Moses is a nice spot for that; after a long day outdoors Best Western The Inn At Ramsey is a magnificent site to spend a night or two. Through the summer highs here at Cooks Pond get into the 80's; the night is somewhat cooler of course, regularly in the 50's. to be in the 10's. This place is great, just look at all the amusing stuff to do near Cooks Pond. Mt. Peter has pleasant slopes and a friendly staff; an afternoon playing golf at Apple Ridge Country Club is always a bliss. Shadow
Lake Dam has good water scenery and it's close to Cooks Pond, and you can stay the night at Camp wabenaki. So many entertaining things to do at Cooks Pond, so little time. Bunker Pond is a great lake right next door to Cooks Pond,
and whitewater paddling is good on Ramapo River. This lake is so wonderful. Lots of people from New York-Newark-Edison come to Cooks Pond, and nearby you come across the Kakiat Trail which is a nice hiking trail. This lake is
so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Pine Meadow Trail is always a good adventure, and if you need a site to stay Howard Johnson Inn is a glorious choice.
