A splendid nearby hotel is Columbia-Days Inn. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Columbia Lake has to offer, you can camp at Delaware River Family Campground. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun stuff near Columbia Lake. A lake close by is Lake Poco; do take a hike on the Bald Barren Trail. Columbia Lake is a quite wet place usually with a great deal of precipitation; most of the rain falls       all through May, and the driest of the months is February. The skiing at Shawnee Mountain is glorious, and nice water scenery is available at Columbia Dam near Columbia Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Soar down the rapids of Martins Creek in a kayak, and you can have a good hiking adventure along the Flat Ridge Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort is a pleasant location to get some rest, and Delaware Lake is a nearby lake                  that you could check out. You think that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. Take a little visit to Delawanna Creek if you're here at Columbia Lake, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Indian Trail. Alpine Mountain is a nice local ski area, and Columbia Lake is a great place to visit for more than one day, Shady Acres Campgrounds is a great place to camp nearby. There are plenty of folks from East Stroudsburg here at Columbia Lake, and a golf course close by is Great Bear Golf and Country Club. Get soaked paddling on Pequest River, and don't miss out on a visit to Delaware National Scenic River since you're here. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Columbia Lake, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's.
