At Colonial Lake during the summer highs are in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. For the period of the winter highs are mostly in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Colonial Lake. You don’t have to go far from Colonial Lake to make out the water at Colonial Lake Dam; if you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling       on Raritan River - South Branch. This lake is so wonderful. Delaware River is a tremendous whitewater spot close to Colonial Lake, and if you've had enough of Colonial Lake, Whitehead Pond is close by. There are plenty of folks from Trenton-Ewing here at Colonial Lake, and after a long day outdoors Howard Johnson Inn is a splendid location to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Colonial Lake that you need to camp                  here for a while, Timberland Lake Campground is a brilliant location for that, and near Colonial Lake you hit upon a golf course called Princeton Country Club. Colonial Lake in fact is in the middle of a lovely outdoors paradise. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Colonial Lake has to offer, you can camp at Ymca; dry warm beds await you at Traditions At The Glen Resort And Conference Center. New Jersey Pinelands National Reserve is a very great place to check out right next door to Colonial Lake, and needless to say Branch of Pond Run flows through this neighborhood.
