While you're here at Collins Pond you can play some golf at Black Bear Golf Club; there's whitewater on Paulins Kill River for all you thrill seekers. Collins Pond is a wet place that gets lots of rain; August is the month that gets the most rain while February is generally the driest month. Lake Acquackanonk is a nearby lake that you could stop       by, and at Heaters Pond Dam close to Collins Pond there are some out of the ordinary things to see. For the period of the warmest time of the year at Collins Pond temperatures are mostly in the 80's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 30's, and night lows in the 10's for Collins Pond. This lake is so wonderful.
