Lake night low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 10's. Cold Spring Lake is a tremendous site to camp, Brookwood Swim and Tennis Club is a tremendous site, and paddling on Rockaway River is so much fun.
Head up to Hidden
Valley and strap some skis to your feet, and Roserne Motor Lodge is a magnificent place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. There is a great hiking trail in close proximity to Cold Spring Lake called the Kakiat Trail; Cold
Spring Lake Dam is an exciting thing to check out. Do pay a visit to Gateway National Recreation Area since you're here at Cold Spring Lake, and whitewater paddling is splendid on Pequannock River.
The high level of rain makes
Cold Spring Lake a pretty wet spot; the month with most of the rain is August, and the driest month of the year is February. A day on the slopes of Sterling Forest is just what you need, and Beaver Brook is in the vicinity of Cold Spring Lake and is always a bliss to check out.
