You just can't picture the amount of outdoors fun stuff the area right next door to Charlotteburg Reservoir has to offer. Butler Guest House is a tremendous place to get some rest, and paddling on Rockaway River is so much fun. This lake is so wonderful. Gotta ski! Hidden Valley is a splendid site to do that, and whitewater paddling is pleasant on Pequannock River. Charlotteburg Reservoir       is a nice site to camp, Sun Air Lakeside Camp is a nice site, and do take a hike on the Cannonball Trail. A lot of rain falls at Charlotteburg Reservoir; the wettest month of the year is regularly July, that's the one that rains the most while February is commonly the driest month. A nice nearby hotel is Roserne Motor Lodge, and Clinton Brook is near Charlotteburg Reservoir and is always a delight to take a look at. If time allows, Gateway National Recreation                  Area is a national park worth visiting, and delightful scenery and wonderful skiing is what you get at Mountain Creek. During the summertime at Charlotteburg Reservoir highs are typically in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Charlotteburg Reservoir are in the 10's. A golf course next to Charlotteburg Reservoir is Green Pond Golf Club. Charlotteburg Dam is an interesting thing to check out, and Kanouse Mountain is a peak you can observe from Charlotteburg Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Do go to Echo Lake near Charlotteburg Reservoir, it's a scenic lake.
