You can take a little visit to Lake Kalmia Dam while you're here at Cedar Lake; if you need a place to stay Value Inn East Stroudsburg is a pleasant choice. Blair Creek is a fine local stream;       most likely you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Blair Lake is just a very short distance away. Cedar Lake is right by the Bald Barren Trail, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Shawnee Mountain is reasonably near. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Bush Kill Creek, and you can stay the night at Appalacian Mountain Club. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are frequently in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Cedar Lake. Hiking along the Smith Trail is magnificent fun; Alpine Mountain is a pleasant local ski area. This lake is so wonderful. Don't miss out on a journey to Delaware National Scenic River since you're here at Cedar Lake, and there are some fine whitewater spots on Pequest River.
