A day on the slopes of Mountain Creek is just what you need; Delaware National Scenic River is a glorious national park. Very nice water scenery is available at Cannistear Reservoir Dam Number One close to Canistear Reservoir, and if you get bored of Canistear Reservoir you could also take a look at close by Cliffwood Lake. Mountain Creek Resort is a glorious       place to get some rest; golf can be played at Bowling Green Golf Club. That right there is heaps already, but it keeps on going; Canistear Reservoir has it all. There's so much to do here at Canistear Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Sun Air Lakeside Camp is a good place for that, and if you come at the right time of year, Pequannock River offers some magnificent whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. The skiing at Hidden Valley is tremendous,                  and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Rockaway River. At Canistear Reservoir through the summer highs are in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows drop down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Canistear Reservoir. A great nearby hotel is Mineral Resorts And Spa, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Canistear Reservoir; Cannonball Trail is a nice local trail. Canistear Reservoir is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Tall Timbers Campground is a magnificent local campground, and swing by Pacock Brook it's a brilliant spot to go to.
