This lake is so wonderful. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Sterling Forest, and after a long day outdoors Courtyard West Orange is a nice location to spend a night or two. There's so much to do here at Campbells Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Bryn Mawr Camp is a wonderful place for that; a lake nearby is North Pond. Campbells Pond sees pretty high levels of precipitation; throughout May this area sees the most rain, and February is when it's the driest.
You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun things at Campbells Pond. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Rockaway River; if you're a golfer then a tremendous close by course is Essex County Francis A Byrne Golf Course.
