Camp Marudy Lake is always a pleasure to visit. Having a tremendous time at Camp Marudy Lake is uncomplicated. Drift down the rapids of Lockatong Creek in a kayak, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Wickecheoke Creek. Nearby lakes? Sure, Jutland Lake is in the neighborhood of Camp Marudy Lake; why not camp at Camp-Out while you're here at Camp Marudy Lake. This lake is so wonderful. You're probably hooked on lakes, Lingerts Pond is one of those nearby, also Nishisakawick Creek Dam is worth stopping at since you're here. Camp Marudy Lake is a wet location that gets a large amount of rainfall; during the month of August you get the most rain around here; the driest month is October.

Tent Sites, Fires OK, Store, Nearby Grocery, Pool, Gameroom......y. We have been in operation as a YMCA Camp since 1956, and are proud to offer year-round programming to over 15,000 people each year.
Camp Bernie is able to provide a traditional co-ed Overnight Camp Experience during the summer. Our sessions last for 13 days, and serve children from grades 2 through 10. In addition, we provide 9 weeks of Adventure Day Camp for the local communities, each session lasting from Monday through Friday.
We also offer year round programming consisting of Outdoor Education for school groups, and Group and Family Camping as well. We are avilable for scout troops, college clubs, church retreats and much more. Our camp is able to provide cabin and meeting space for groups of many sizes and interests; and there are always more rustic accomodations available for those that are interested.
Our programs are led by well-trained camping professionals, and can be catered to fit the needs of our visitors. We offer everything from sports to adventure and arts to nature, with the character and mission driven methods of the YMCA.

I live less than a mile from this place. Me, my brother, and his friend decided to try to fish here. We found an old canoe with a tag on it that said 1855. We drained the water and paddled out with toy shovels. 90% of this lake is about 1 foot deep. Once you get to the dam-looking part it drops to about 7-9. We fished for about a half hour. Didn't catch anything, or even see a fish (the waters clear as day)....Great for fishing, late at night when the bugs are flying on the surface, the trout jump out and get them. Too bad they don't go for your hook. I've caught sunnys trout and large mouth there. Great place that nobody else fishes at; my own little secret spot ha ha.... |
