What a nice lake Butler Reservoir is. This lake is so wonderful. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Mountain Creek if you're here; Apshawa Brook is one of the streams nearby that might be worth stopping at. Butler Reservoir is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Motor Sports Marina and Campground is a tremendous local campground, and if you need a site to stay Roserne Motor Lodge is a splendid choice. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Cannonball Trail; Rockaway River has a pleasant whitewater paddling spot nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out nearby Bear Swamp Lake, and in the event that you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on | |

Pequannock River. At Butler Reservoir through the long summer days highs are in the 80's, and the nighttime is a tad cooler of course, typically in the 50's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and after the sun
is down during the wintertime temperatures at Butler Reservoir plunge into the 10's.
Hiking along the Pine Meadow Trail is great fun, and an afternoon playing golf at Green Pond Golf Club is always a pleasure. Having a perfect
time at Butler Reservoir is easy. A perfect place to camp here at Butler Reservoir is Sun Air Lakeside Camp, and Gateway National Recreation Area is a great place close by.
All the outdoors entertaining stuff right next door to
Butler Reservoir will keep you coming back persistently. Apshawa Main Dam has glorious water scenery and it's right next door to Butler Reservoir, and a wonderful nearby hotel is Butler Guest House. What would winter be without some skiing at Hidden Valley, and Butler Reservoir is right by the Kakiat Trail.
