Pine Meadow Trail is a perfect local trail. This lake is so wonderful. For you golfers we recommend close by Sunset Valley Golf Course, and Kakeout Dam is not far at all from Butler Reservoir. There's some flowing water nearby,

Gateway National Recreation Area is relatively in the neighborhood of Butler Reservoir. Butler Reservoir gets a large amount of water; through the month of August you get the most rain around here, and February is the month with
the least moisture. There's so much to do here at Butler Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Brookwood Swim and Tennis Club is a great spot for that, and Kikeout Mountain is uncomplicated to spot from Butler Reservoir.
