Butchers Pond is a nice lake to visit. Brookwood Swim and Tennis Club is a perfect campground here, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Pequannock River. Butchers Pond ordinarily gets a great deal of precipitation; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. If you haven’t been to Gateway National Recreation Area, you ought to schedule some time for it while you're here, and Mt. Peter is a delightful local ski area. There's always New Street Reservoir Dam to pop by in close proximity to Butchers Pond, and this is a popular place for folks from New York-Newark-Edison. it would be. The Cannonball Trail is a brilliant hiking trail close to Butchers Pond, and going for a hike on the Pine Meadow Trail is always a tremendous adventure.
This lake is so wonderful. Why not spend some time golfing at
a nearby golf course like Packanack Golf Club, and possibly you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Barbour Pond is just a very short distance away. Dry warm beds await you at Rainbow Motel; the skiing at Sterling Forest is good.
Man, is there loads of entertaining things to do close to Butchers Pond. If you came for an overnight stay Liberty Harbor RV Park is a good place to camp It's always great to go to Passaic Falls. There are some pleasant whitewater
spots on Ramapo River, and a quick visit to Molly Ann Brook is unquestionably a pleasant idea. Summertime highs at Butchers Pond regularly tend to be in the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Butchers Pond.
