Lake Lefferts
I live on this lake, I'm 14 and every summer I have the most wonderful time on floating docks with my friends and waking up and kayaking with my little sister....I remember swiming here when I was young. A big different from the creek under the parkway bridge....I remember back in the 50's I would go past the lake and see kid's swing from a tree on a rope, and then let go and dive in the water. I was so jealous, but I had Cliffwood....
Shadow Lake
No real public access at deep part of lake only in the shallow back, some good bass and big calicos and carp, not much shore fishing....
Poricy Pond
It is a great spot for fishing. There are a large variety of species such as largemouth bass, karp, sunfish, pickerel, and perch. The largemouth fishing is the best by far....

Farrington Lake
19 miles away Camp Farrington was the best. I was there in the 60's but don't remember exact years. I went one or two summers as a camper and then one summer when I was a little older as a waiter. My father Herbert Lederer was brother to Terry Greenwald. Terry and Howard Greenwald were two of the owners of the camp. One of my favorite memories was sneaking out of the bunk house after hours and pretending to be councillors as we made our way over to the girls bunk house. I so remeber the ''lily pond'' and monkey bridge and how much fun they were....Yes - Truly the best. I was there for 5 or 6 summers from approx 1964 to 1969. I remember watching Neil Armstrong walk on the moon among many highlights......
Prospertown Lake
19 miles away Prospertown lake has great pikerel and bass fishing....Prosper Town lake is the greatest. It is located near 6 flags. My brother caught a 15 inch largemouth bass and a 13 inch smallmouth bass before there. And I've caught a lot of pickerel. We used shiners,,, about 3-4 inches big....
