This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out close by Durham Pond; why not camp at Camp Nyoda while you're here at Browns Pond. Don't try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a fine time here at Browns Pond. The peak of Copperas Mountain can be seen from Browns Pond, and do take a hike on the       Cannonball Trail. If you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Green Pond Golf Club is close at hand; if you come at the right time of year, Pequannock River offers some fine whitewater. Browns Pond is a pretty wet place typically with a large amount of rainfall; the wettest month of the year is frequently August, that's the one that rains the most, and February on the other hand is the driest. Lakes are tremendous; Schaffers Ponds is a lake that's                  right next door to Browns Pond, and Durham Pond Dam is a beautiful spot, certainly worth taking a look at. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Rockaway River, and some of the water nearby flows, like Clinton Brook. This lake is so wonderful. The snow is great at Hidden Valley; Hampton Inn DenvilleParsippany Are is a nice place to get some rest. A day on the slopes of Mountain Creek is just what you need, and if you need a place to stay Best Western Rockaway Hotel is a great choice. Now, you may believe that's a load but there's even more cool stuff to do here at Browns Pond. Union Valley is a tremendous place to take a look at close by. Summertime at Browns Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 80's; the nighttime is a little cooler of course, usually in the 50's.
