You'll need more than a day to explore everything Boonton Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Camp Ocawasin Lodge; there's whitewater on Pequannock River for all you adrenaline junkies. This lake is so wonderful. Very delightful scenery and glorious skiing is what you get at Hidden Valley; Ramada Limited is a nice place to get some rest. Boonton Reservoir is a wonderful location to visit for more       than one day, Brookwood Swim and Tennis Club is a wonderful location to camp nearby, and if you're a golfer then a splendid close by course is Rockaway River Country Club. Boonton Reservoir is a rather wet place regularly with a great deal of precipitation; August is when you get the most rain here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. High temperatures at Boonton Reservoir during the warm months are in the 80's. Summer nighttime                  lows dip down to the 50's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's while Boonton Reservoir night low temperatures during the winter are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Rockaway River; a delightful lake like Patex Pond is a good site to visit. Why not take a look at Boonton Reservoir Dam while you're here, and do stop at Lake Intervale, it's a delightful lake. Gateway National Recreation Area is a tremendous local destination here at Boonton Reservoir. There's brilliant hiking along the Cannonball Trail; dry warm beds await you at Embassy Suites Hotel Parsippany. Just can't get enough of Boonton Reservoir.
