New Jersey has many beautiful lakes and Bogues Pond is one of them. Whohoo, so many fun things in one place! Bogues Pond is excellent! Take a hike on the Cannonball Trail; get your heart beating on the great whitewater of Rockaway River. This lake is so wonderful. You could also take a look at Bear Swamp Lake since you're here at Bogues Pond; it's nearby, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Mt. Peter while you're here. All the outdoors

There's so much to do here at Bogues Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Motor Sports Marina and Campground is a great place for that. This lake is so wonderful. Have a glorious hiking adventure along the Pine Meadow Trail, and hey, Beaver Brook is a good local stream. River for all you adrenaline people. The high level of precipitation makes Bogues Pond a rather wet spot; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is February. Hiking along the
Kakiat Trail is delightful fun; you can distinguish Federal Hill from Bogues Pond. Gateway National Recreation Area is a good local destination here at Bogues Pond, and if you're interested in hydro structures, you can visit Glen
Wild Lake Dam. If you came to camp Brookwood Swim and Tennis Club is a great site to do that, and if you're here and you like golf, you can pop by Sunset Valley Golf Course. Through the warm days of summer, highs usually are in
the 80's at Bogues Pond; through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Bogues Pond dip into the 10's.
