Walpack Valley Campground is a fine local campground, and don't leave Blue Mountain Lakes without first going for a hike along the Flat Ridge Trail. All the water falling down from the sky makes Blue Mountain Lakes a wet spot; the month with most of the rain is May; February is the month with the least moisture. There's whitewater on Bush Kill Creek for all you adrenaline people, and if you need a spot to stay Value Inn East Stroudsburg is a perfect choice.

Resorts USA is a wonderful campground nearby, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Hornbeck's Creek. to Blue Mountain Lakes, and not far from Blue Mountain Lakes you'll locate Upper Blue Mountain Lake which is a delightful lake. If time allows, Delaware National Scenic River is a national park worth taking a look at; there are
other places here than Blue Mountain Lakes, for example Lower Blue Mountain Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Fernwood Hotel and Resort, and nearby you stumble on Buck Bar which is a perfect spot to visit.
Good hiking is available along the Bald Barren Trail; there's great hiking along the Maple Brook Trail. For the duration of the days of summer here at Blue Mountain Lakes, high temperatures regularly get into the 80's, and all
through the night it cools down to the 50's. During the winter highs are commonly in the 30's while Blue Mountain Lakes overnight low temperatures through the winter are in the 10's.
