All the water falling down from the sky makes Blue Mountain Lakes a wet spot; the month with most of the rain is May; February is the month with the least moisture. There's whitewater on Bush Kill Creek for all you adrenaline people, and if you need a spot to stay Value Inn East Stroudsburg is a perfect choice.       This lake is so wonderful. The snow is great at Shawnee Mountain; some of the water close by flows, like Toms Creek. Resorts USA is a wonderful campground nearby, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Hornbeck's Creek. So much exciting stuff near Blue Mountain Lakes, truly impressive. Having a perfect time at Blue Mountain Lakes is easy. Upper Blue Mountain Lake Dam has magnificent water scenery and it's next                  to Blue Mountain Lakes, and not far from Blue Mountain Lakes you'll locate Upper Blue Mountain Lake which is a delightful lake. If time allows, Delaware National Scenic River is a national park worth taking a look at; there are other places here than Blue Mountain Lakes, for example Lower Blue Mountain Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Fernwood Hotel and Resort, and nearby you stumble on Buck Bar which is a perfect spot to visit. Good hiking is available along the Bald Barren Trail; there's great hiking along the Maple Brook Trail. For the duration of the days of summer here at Blue Mountain Lakes, high temperatures regularly get into the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's.
