A trip to New Jersey Pinelands National Reserve is worthwhile, and Bennetts Mills Dam is not far at all from Bennetts Pond. There's so much to do here at Bennetts Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Butterfly Campground is a tremendous site for that, and a great nearby hotel is Freewood Acres Motel. The high level of precipitation makes Bennetts Pond a reasonably       wet place; through July this area sees the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Tip Tam Camping Resort, and Moon Motel is a good location to get some rest. At Bennetts Pond during the days of summer highs are in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows drop down to the 60's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 30's, and after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Bennetts Pond drop into the 20's.
