Beautiful scenery. A trail surrounding the second and 3rd ponds makes for a nice walk although a little overgrown in places. Fishing has been slow to recover from the fishkill in 2001 when fertilizer chemicals built up on the deep bottom mixed with the pondwater creating toxic conditions for the fish. It is slowly improving with the bass and pickerel that have survived are replenishing the fish population. I've caught some 4 to 6 pound bass in recent years so they must have been around before and survived the fishkill which is good news. The Pond is stocked with trout annually, but I can't see them lasting longer than a couple of weeks due to the warm and stagnant waters. Spring and early summer are the best times to go before the fertilizer rich waters of pond foster abundant algae and lillypad growth. The second and third ponds are the best for bass, while catfish can be caught anywhere and thrive in the stagnant waters. I would recommend shiners for bass if you can find them anywhere, but lures work fine.

Beautiful Bee Meadow Pond has much to offer visitors. A good nearby hotel is Wellesley Inn Whippany; beautiful scenery and great skiing is what you obtain at Mountain Creek. Bee Meadow Pond is a quite wet place ordinarily with a great deal of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is typically August, that's the one that rains the most, and February is when it's the driest.

| | golf at Madison Golf Club, and camping at Brookwood Swim and Tennis Club is always a great experience. Lakes are such peaceful locations, why not have a look at Forge Pond near Bee Meadow Pond, and Bee Meadow Pond is right by the Cannonball Trail. After a long day outdoors Courtyard By Marriott Hanover is a great location to spend a night or two, and a brilliant place to camp here at Bee Meadow Pond is Sun Air Lakeside Camp.

already, but it keeps on going; Bee Meadow Pond has it all. If you like swamps, you're in luck, Black Meadows is right close by; getting to Black Brook from Bee Meadow Pond is trouble-free. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at
the right time of year, Rockaway River offers some great whitewater; hey, Gotta ski right? Hidden Valley is a fine site to do that. For the duration of the long summer days at Bee Meadow Pond temperatures are ordinarily in the 80's.
For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's while Bee Meadow Pond night low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 10's.
There are some delightful
whitewater spots on Pequannock River; not far from Bee Meadow Pond you obtain some pleasant water scenery at Lake Parsippany Dam.
