The Cannonball Trail offers hiking at its best, and Courtyard By Marriott Mahwah is a splendid location to get some rest. Middle Valley is close to Bear Swamp Lake and is a good site, and this is a great location in the shadow of the Ramapo Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Mt. Peter has good slopes and a friendly staff, and Sunset Valley Golf Course is a golf course close by. But wait,       there's more to do next to Bear Swamp Lake. Why not visit Bear Swamp Lake Dam if you're here, and probably you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Cannonball Lake is just a very short distance away. Bear Swamp Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; November is the month that gets the most rain; February is when it's the driest.
