This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Appalacian Mountain Club is always a pleasant experience; the Flat Ridge Trail is a nice hiking trail nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Hornbeck's Creek, and camping is available at Walpack Valley Campground. There are some nice whitewater spots       on Pequest River, and the skiing at Alpine Mountain is great. And if you're still looking for more outdoors enjoyable stuff just keep reading. And if that's not enough, there's a lot more to do near Bass Lake. There is a nice hiking trail in the neighborhood of Bass Lake called the Maple Brook Trail, and a day on the slopes of Shawnee Mountain is just what you need. If the weather is nice here at Bass Lake, you can go for a hike along the Bald Barren Trail,                  and a tremendous close by hotel is Fernwood Hotel and Resort. If you haven’t been to Delaware National Scenic River, you must schedule some time for it since you're here; Value Inn East Stroudsburg is a wonderful place to get some rest. Summertime highs at Bass Lake commonly tend to be in the 80's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and night lows during the winter for Bass Lake tend to be in the 10's. Do stop by Meadows Lake close to Bass Lake, it's a striking lake; Spring Valley Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop by.
