Barbour Pond sees pretty high levels of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is May while February is typically the driest month. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool things at Barbour Pond. There's pleasant hiking along the Kakiat Trail. There's so much to do here       at Barbour Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Rein Teen Tours is a magnificent spot for that; Barbour Pond is not the only site nearby, Country Club Ponds is a nearby lake. If you want a splendid time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Barbour Pond. Ramapo River is a great whitewater spot close to Barbour Pond; don't leave Barbour Pond without first going for a hike along the Cannonball Trail. Barbour Pond is tremendous enough to spend more                  than a day at, Camp Horizons is a tremendous local campground, and there are swamps here too, Franklin Swamp is in the vicinity. This lake is so wonderful. You can never get enough of the wonderful skiing at Mt. Peter, and if you need a location to stay Residence Inn Wayne is a good choice. Mount Cecchino can be distinguished from Barbour Pond, and a pleasant site for whitewater paddling is Pequannock River. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Sterling Forest while you're here, and for you golfers we recommend nearby Packanack Golf Club. This lake is so wonderful. A splendid close by hotel is La Quinta Inn and Suites Wayne; the Pine Meadow Trail offers hiking at its best. During the summer months, highs mostly are in the 80's at Barbour Pond with nighttime lows in the 50's.
