At Barbour Mill Dam near Barbour Pond there are some out of the ordinary things to see, and if you get bored of Barbour Pond you could also pop by close by Hinchman Pond. Barbour Pond sees pretty high levels of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is May while February is typically the driest month. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool things at Barbour Pond. There's pleasant hiking along the Kakiat Trail. There's so much to do here

than a day at, Camp Horizons is a tremendous local campground, and there are swamps here too, Franklin Swamp is in the vicinity. This lake is so wonderful. You can never get enough of the wonderful skiing at Mt. Peter, and if you
need a location to stay Residence Inn Wayne is a good choice. Mount Cecchino can be distinguished from Barbour Pond, and a pleasant site for whitewater paddling is Pequannock River. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go
skiing at Sterling Forest while you're here, and for you golfers we recommend nearby Packanack Golf Club. This lake is so wonderful. A splendid close by hotel is La Quinta Inn and Suites Wayne; the Pine Meadow Trail offers hiking
at its best. During the summer months, highs mostly are in the 80's at Barbour Pond with nighttime lows in the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Barbour Pond.
